The NHS and Public Health England (PHE) are extremely well prepared for outbreaks of new infectious diseases. The NHS has put in place measures to ensure the safety of all patients and NHS staff while also ensuring services are available to the public as normal. There is no need to order your medication early. We are unable to prescribe any more than your usual amount of medication as this will have an impact on supply for other patients.
Please talk to your pharmacy if you have any questions.
Our Online Service, Patient Access, and is fully integrated with the practice clinical software. Once you are registered to use the system, you will see your repeat medication in the same way we do at the surgery. You can tick the items you require then your request will be processed by our reception staff. The new system will enable our staff to process repeat prescriptions more efficiently. Please let us know if you would like to use this service. Please note that you will need your own email address to use Patient access as shared email addresses are not allowed for this service.
We use a computer system for all prescriptions. Please drop or post in your prescription ‘counterfoil’ marking the items you need and the prescription will be ready 2 working days later, Monday to Friday. Please note that the pharmacy will require time to process the dispensing of your medication so you should allow an extra 2 to 3 working days (4 - 5 working days in total).
Alternatively, you can order your repeat prescription by telephone by calling 01736 753136 and select option 3 this is an automated service. Again please allow 2 working days for us to process your prescription request and a further 2 to 3 days for the pharmacy to dispense your medication.
We can arrange for your prescription to be sent to a Hayle Chemist of your choice if you mark this on the slip, or, if you include a S.A.E. we can send it to you anywhere. Please allow an extra 48 hours for the pharmacy to process the dispensing of your medication.
Please note that our reception staff process repeat prescription requests but they are not permitted to make any changes to drug names, dosages or quantities without authorisation from the doctor. If you require a change to your medication, you should discuss this with your doctor.
